
Egypt will remain the security valve for Arab states and will continue playing its vital role in the region, the Egyptian envoy in Ramallah said.
Egyptian Ambassador in Ramallah Nasr Eddin Attiya made the remark during a meeting at the embassy with Palestinian Presidential Secretary General al Tayyeb Abdel Reheim and the Egyptian church delegation.
The conferees congratulated Anba Antonious - who was present there - on his consecration as the Coptic Metropolitan of Jerusalem and the Near East.
Nasr Eddin underlined Egypt's keenness on enhancing amicable ties between the Egyptian and Palestinian peoples.
The Egyptian envoy thanked Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas for receiving the Egyptian church team.
Meanwhile, Abdel Reheim urged the Egyptian delegation to visit the Palestinian territories again to support the Palestinian people.
