Egypt will pursue its fight against terror groups domestically and regionally, said Assistant Foreign Minister for The Two Americas Affairs Mohamed Faried.
Faried's remarks came during a meeting with ambassadors of the North and Latin American countries here on Tuesday to discuss the situation after the killing of 21 Egyptians by Deash terrorists in Libya.
He urged the international community to shoulder its responsibility and take concrete action against terror groups.
Faried also touched on the airstrikes by the Egyptian Army on Deash positions in Libya, noting that the air raids were rightful defense against the terror group and go in line with the United Nations resolutions.
He noted that the only way stability can be brought back to Libya is by backing the Libyan army, the legitimate government and the UN envoy efforts.
