
Egyptian cabinet in its meeting Saturday said that it would take urgent and quick measures to take "revenge for the shedding of dear blood." In a statement, the cabinet urged all political powers and parties to unite and cooperate to meet the demands of the two revolutions, January 25 and June 30, and combat terrorism in all its forms.
The government said it would continue completion of the country's roadmap by holding legislative polls, noted the statement, indicating such terrorist attacks will prompt the state more to defend dear homeland and meet aspirations of its citizens.
The cabinet instructed authorities to take measures which it described necessary to protect lives of civilians.
On Friday two blasts hit Egypt's North Sinai, leaving scores of soldiers dead and injured. As a result a three-month state of emergency was imposed in that governorate.
Many countries across the globe strongly condemned the blasts, announcing their support to Cairo in its war against terrorism.
Egypt has been experiencing several terrorist blasts nationwide notably in Sinai since 2011, killing and injuring hundreds.
