Egypt on Friday welcomed an agreement by leaders of the Sudan People's Liberation Movement in South Sudan in the Tanzanian city Arusha on Wednesday.
A released statement by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry indicated that Egypt encourages all parties concerned in South Sudan to maintain dialogue for reaching a comprehensive agreement on ending the conflict in the sub-Saharan African country.
Egypt is also encouraging any step that would help restore stability and peace in the country and lead to pushing up economic development programs, added the statement.
Egypt is also asserting its full readiness to extend all possible help for ending the political crisis in South Sudan, added the statement.
