
Egypt's Foreign Ministry welcomed the UN resolution regarding the Libyan political agreement that was signed in the Moroccan city of Skhirat on December 17 under UN brokerage.
Egypt welcomed also the UN resolution which affirms Libya's sovereignty and independence and denounces terrorist acts which are committed by groups affiliated to Daesh, said Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid.
He also voiced hope that the upcoming phase will witness more coordination and cooperation at the international level in order to render the Libyan national unity government a success.
The UN resolution said the council welcomed the formation of the Presidency Council and urged it to establish a Government of National Accord within the 30 days as stated in the agreement.
