
Media official at the Palestinian Foreign Ministry Wael el Batrikhy lauded the call of Egyptian Abdel Fattah El Sisi to renew the religious discourse in Egypt along with the Arab and Islamic world.
In an interview with MENA correspondent in Ramallah, Batikhy reiterated the importance of Azhar in combating terror all over the worlds.
Egypt with Azhar is the gate to moderate Islam, he said.
He urged the Arab and Islamic worlds to make Azhar their Islamic reference.
The policy of the Palestinian Foreign Ministry is to be open to the world for getting support to the Palestinian cause, he said, asserting that Palestine backs any effort that aims at ending the occupation and establishing a Palestinian state.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry supports peace all over the world, he said, adding that peace is important for life.
On the international conference for peace, called for by France, he said that the French initiative is good and welcomed.
He said that the Arab League is an organized Arab entity with a strategy and target, reiterating that Arab should work together to strengthen the role of the Arab League.
