Egypt's Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab and Yemen's Vice President and Premier Khaled Bahah co-chaired on Sunday the meetings of the eighth session of the Egyptian-Yemeni Joint Higher Committee.
The get-together was attended by Egyptian ministers of planning, health, transitional justice, international cooperation and interior, as well as Yemeni ministers of planning, international cooperation, interior and human rights.
Mahlab delivered an address to the session, welcoming the Yemeni premier and his accompanying delegation to Egypt.
"Egypt stands by the Yemeni people and government in their bids to restore security and stability," Mahlab said.
He further lauded deeply-rooted relations between the two countries.
On the sidelines of the session, a number of deals will be signed in the fields of education, higher education, media, health and pharmaceuticals, Mahlab concluded.
