
Egyptian ambassador to Saudi Arabia mourned former Saudi foreign minister Prince Saud al Faisal who died earlier on Thursday.
The diplomat expressed his deep sorrow over the demise of al Faisal, saying that his death is a grave loss to Egypt.
Also, he noted the supportive stances adopted by the late prince towards the Egyptian people following the revolution of June 30.
He offered condolences to the Saudi people and government over the death of al Faisl, the statement added.
Saud al Faisal was the world’s longest-serving foreign minister as he was appointed in 1975. He was replaced on April 29 by Adel al-Jubeir.
