Egyptian army kills 12 elements in north Sinai

The Egyptian army announced on Saturday the killing of 12 terrorist elements in a campaign in different parts of North Sinai.
Five terrorist elements were killed while they were riding a car in an area in Sheikh Zuweid, Egypt's army spokesman, Mohamed Samir said in a statement.
He added that seven others were killed as a result of clashes with the army, in addition to the arrest pf 11 people, including six suspects wanted by the security forces.
The military campaign were carried out in various parts of north Sinai, during which 36 houses were destroyed, besides 40 terrorist hideouts, five vehicles and 12 motorcycles belonging to those elements, Samir pointed out.
