The High Elections Commission (HEC) approved Thursday requests presented by about 60 foreign embassies in Egypt to follow up the upcoming Egyptian parliamentary elections due to be held by the end of October.
The 60 embassies included the US embassy as well as a number of embassies of Asian and EU states, HEC spokesman Amr Marwan said on Thursday.
Egyptians - inside or outside the country - will cast their ballots from 9 am to 9 pm on days set for voting.
Each commission can temporarily suspend work for one hour for the commissions' monitors to have a break.
He noted that individual candidates' cards will be white, while party-based lists' cards will be green.
He called on voters to be cautious to avoid annulling their votes.
