Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar called on Sunday for a comprehensive security vision to be touched by citizens.
The minister made the statements during a meeting with a number of his aides and security commanders to follow up the security situation and the performance of policemen nationwide.
At the beginning of the meeting, Abdel Ghaffar praised the efforts exerted by Egyptian policemen in the past period and called for more follow-up and monitoring activities in the coming period.
Abdel Ghaffar urged policemen to provide high-level services for citizens without violating human rights.
"Economic stability is closely related to security," he said, stressing that security bodies shoulder the responsibility of facing illegal practices at Egypt's ports and markets.
He also ordered developing plans to secure tourist sites and end traffic congestion, noting that tourism stands as a main resource of Egypt's national income.
Preparations for Eidul Adha and the new academic year were probed as well.
