
Egyptian Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar returned home early Thursday from Algeria where he took part in the 23rd session of the Arab interior ministers council.
Over two days, the ministers mulled drafting a unified Arab strategy to fight terrorism and drug trafficking.
In his speech to the conference, Abdel Ghaffar referred to the change in the activities of terrorist groups and their links to organized crime gangs and the need to face them and dry out their funding sources.
He met with Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohamed ben Nayef ben Abdel Aziz and the interior ministers of Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Jordan on the sidelines of the council meetings.
