The Interior Ministry will firmly confront Brotherhood calls for protests and violence on Friday, a well-placed security source said.
In statements to MENA Thursday, the source said any attempt by Brotherhood elements to attack vital or police facilities will be deterred by force under law.
Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar has ordered tightening security across the country, especially in all vital facilities, the source said.
Abdel Ghaffar also called for more pre-emptive attacks against terrorists, the source said.
Over the past two months, security agencies managed to abort 15 schemes targeting power generators and state utilities and seize about 17 terrorist cells, the source said.
He attributed this success to fruitful cooperation between people and policemen.
