Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar has called for exerting utmost efforts to face challenges of the current stage and upgrade police performance.
In a meeting with his senior aides Sunday night, Abdel Ghaffar also pressed for applying the rule of law and respecting human rights.
He voiced appreciation for all policemen for their efforts to secure the country during the Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC), which wrapped up in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el Sheikh Sunday.
He was pleased with the performance of all sectors of the Interior Ministry.
"The security plan was carried out in a disciplined and accurate manner and with high spirits," Abdel Ghaffar said.
Policemen do not spare any effort to maintain development gains, he stressed.
