
Transport Minster Hany Dhahy on Saturday made a surprise tour of development projects on the Wadi el Natrun-el Alamein and Cairo-Alexandria desert roads.
During the tour, he inspected work at the two highways which are part of the national project for roads.
Wadi el Natrun-el Alamein highway is planned to extend for 135kms at costs amounting to EGP1.9 billion. It is scheduled to be carried out on three phases.
The development of Cairo-Alexandria highway extends about 30kms to the road at about EGP1.4 billion cost.
