
Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab on Monday mourned the death of Prosecutor General Hesham Barakat who died in a heineous terrorist attack that targeted his convoy in Heliopolis earlier in the day.
In a statement released on Monday, Mahlab said Counselor Barakat lost his life while defending the values of justice.
He pointed out that such terrorist acts would not intimidate the Egyptian people or weaken their will to eradicate terrorism and achieve development of their country.
The premier also offered condolences to the family of the prosecutor and wished a speedy recovery to all the persons who were injured in the attack.
