Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab met with with Al Azhar University president, his deputies and professors of the Faculty of Medicine on Wednesday in the presence of attendance of Al Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed Tayyeb.
Mahlab, in statements after opening the first stage of Al Azhar University Hospital, said the health sector in Egypt is not suffering now from any shortage of buildings but suffers from administration, nursing, maintenance, security and cleanness problems.
Serving citizens should be a top priority, Mahlab said while addressing the Faculty of Medicine professors.
Developing the health mechanism is what the State cares for now, citing the successful experiment at the National Heart Institute.
Al Azhar University Hospital, that was opened earlier in the day, is so wonderful now but still it is the good administration that will keep it at the same level, he said.
He instructed the Arab Contractors Company to start with the second stage of the hospital and finalize it within 8 not 16 months as scheduled.
