Egypt's Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim met in Riyadh Tuesday with his Saudi counterpart Prince Mohamed Bin Nayef Bin Abdulaziz on boosting Arab security. Ibrahim arrived in Riyadh on a two-day visit to attend the 30th session of the Arab Interior Ministers Council, due to kick off tomorrow. Egyptian Assistant Interior Minister for Public Relations and Information Major General Abdul Fattah Othman said the two ministers discussed ways of enhancing bilateral relations, especially in the security field, via exchanging expertise and visits. Also, they tackled Arab and regional developments. Othman added that they reviewed the agenda of the 30th session of the Arab Interior Ministers Council. In addition, they discussed bilateral coordination to boost Arab security to be capable of facing common security challenges. The ministers of 22 Arab countries and senior representatives of the United Nations, the Arab League, the Gulf Cooperation Council, the Arab Maghreb Union , Nayef Arab Academy for Security Sciences and the Arab Police Sports Union are taking part in the two-day talks that will address the Arab strategies on narcotics-combat, terrorism, civil defense and intellectual property protection. King Abdullah bin Abdel-Aziz will direct a speech to the session which will also be addressed by the UAE deputy premier and interior minister, the Saudi interior minister and the council's secretary general.
