
Security forces continued wide-scale campaigns to confront acts of thuggery, arrest outlaws and seize firearms and unlicensed weapons.
Security forces seized 283 arms, including machine-guns, pistols and locally-made guns, over the past 24 hours.
Police also seized two criminal gangs accused of armed robbery.
The forces seized 55 fugitives, 583 unlicensed motorbikes and 185 drug trafficking cases and restored five stolen cars.
The security campaign, led by Assistant Interior Minister for Public Security Sector Kamal el Dali, aims at restoring security and order to Egyptian streets.
