General Union of Egyptian Expatriates in Saudi Arabia voiced their appreciation for the efforts exerted by Minister of Immigration and Expatriate Affairs Nabila Makram in solidifying the link between Egyptians abroad and their homeland and her strenuous efforts to settle their problems.
In a statement released in Cairo Monday, Head of the Egyptian Union of Egyptian Expatriates in Arabia Yehia Saad said the union highly appreciates Makram's efforts and her visits to Egyptian communities in Arabia to get briefed on their problems and settle them.
He asserted that the minister has discussed with transparency all problems of the Egyptians abroad and collected a database about their needs in order to contact the bodies concerned in Egypt to crystallize an actual interaction with its nationals abroad especially at a time of tough economic conditions facing the Egyptian economy, which he said, required luring more foreign currency through the state's dollar certificates.
Saad also said Egyptians in Arabia, who is the largest Egyptian community abroad with two million expats, are seeking by all means to support the Egyptian national economy.
