Many Egyptians sang the national anthem without music after President Abdel Fattah El Sisi delivered a speech in the celebration marking the 150th anniversary of the Egyptian parliament foundation at Sharm El Sheikh resort city on Sunday.
Playing the national anthem was delayed following a technical failure which stopped instrumental accompaniment during celebrations.
The attendees started singing the national anthem of Egypt "Bilady, Bilady" during the ceremony.
Smiling Sisi and participating guests welcomed this spontaneous initiative.
The ceremony was attended by 19 speakers of Arab and African parliaments and international parliamentary organizations as well as 15 delegations from various world countries.
Egypt's former president Adly Mansour and Prime Minister Sherif Ismail also attended the event.
