
Army Chief of Staff Sedqi Sobhy attended on Saturday the main stage of the military exercise Raad 23 (thunder 23) carried out by the Western Military Zone forces in Matrouh governorate.
The training included simulated anti-air and anti-tanks warfare exercises, as well as simulated small boat attacks and basic ship handling maneuvers, said Western Military Zone Chief of Staff Maj. Gen Mohamed Masry.
Multiple branches of the Egyptian military, including rapid reaction force, air forces, and marines participated in the main stage of the exercise, he added.
Sobhy hailed the preparedness and high-performance of the forces.
