Egypt's Ambassador to Yemen Youssef Al Sharqawi asserted on Thursday that the Egyptian Embassy in Sanaa and all diplomatic offices are operating and offering their public services normally, denying reports on closing the Egyptian embassy because of the recent clashes in Sanaa.
In a statement, Sharqawi said that the embassy has partially suspended offering its public services as the staffers was not unable to arrive at their workplaces due to the clashes.
He added that the Egyptian community members here are safe, and that the security situation is stable after reaching a deal between the Yemeni parties.
