
Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim issued directives to raise the maximum state of alert during the Christmas holidays.
During a meeting Sunday with senior security officials to review the security conditions in the country, the minister stressed the importance of stepping up the security measures in the streets and squares to secure the vital facilities.
Ibrahim called for decisively confronting any attempt that would endanger the security and stability of the country, and hailed the successes achieved so far in the security domain.
He lauded the pre-emptive strikes to terrorist groups foiled many terrorist operations in the country, calling at the same time on security men to respect the citizens and treat them well during the security operations.
