Egypt's interior ministry announces arrest of 68 MB members

Security bodies have announced the arrest of 68 terrorist elements in security campaigns carried out nationwide.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the Interior Ministry said security bodies foiled an attempt by a takfiri element to sneak into Egypt via Qustul border crossing with Sudan.
Meanwhile, security apparatus foiled schemes by the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group to attack police and army and vital facilities.
As many as 15 elements of the MB group were arrested in a large-scale campaign in Cairo, Menufiya, Daqahliya and Beheira.
Also, seven extremist members involved in several terrorist attacks were arrested in the campaign.
The operations were carried out upon a tip-off to security bodies on their involvement in several attacks and inciting violence.
