
Security measures were intensified nationwide ahead of Eidul Adha celebrations, a security source told MENA on Sunday.
In exclusive statements to MENA, the source said that all the ministry's departments have set plans to secure the celebrations, prayers, state and vital facilities and transportation means during the Greater Bairam, to begin Thursday.
This comes within the directions of Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar, the source further said.
The minister gave directives to face all sorts of crime and outlaws in order to secure the citizens, the source added.
He pointed out that an operation room was formed to coordinate with other operation rooms nationwide especially with the ambulance authority and health ministry.
Eidul Adha is the second of two religious holidays celebrated by Muslims worldwide each year. The feast is a public holiday.
