
The Egyptian Embassy in Nouakchott celebrated Thursday night the 64th anniversary of the July 23rd Revolution.
Senior Mauritanian officials, members of the Egyptian community in Mauritania, media men and intellectuals took part in the ceremony.
During the event, Ambassador Ahmed Fadel discussed with the Mauritanian African affairs’ minister, who led an official delegation to the celebration, ways to enhance bilateral relations in the various domains.
Fadel also delivered a speech in which he highlighted the importance of the July revolution in Egypt’s history.
He described Egyptian-Mauritanian relations as excellent. Relations were developed over the past few years, he said, highlighting the importance of a recent Cairo visit by the Mauritanian president.
