
Egypt's Mufti Shawqi Allam called on all Muslims to seize the opportunity during the fasting month of Ramadan to change their behavior for the better following the footsteps of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
In statements to MENA on Friday, the mufti said in Ramadan, the reward for a good deed is multiplied by 70 times.
Allam cited the Prophet's words on rewarding good deeds in Ramadan: "Whoever performs an obligatory act during it (Ramadan), he is like whoever performed 70 obligatory acts in other times."
Allam also extended greetings to all Muslims on the advent of Ramadan, which astronomically to begin on Monday.
