
Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab, accompanied by Cairo Governor Galal el Saed, visited Monsha't Nasser to ensure that its residents are safe after a two-ton rock fell in the area in the wee hours of Saturday.
Mahlab was assigned by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to pay the visit.
The prime minister hailed the efforts exerted by Cairo governor who ordered during the past days the transfer of 70 families from the region to safe housing units in Badr and 6th of October cities.
The residents of the area expressed their appreciation for transferring them from the dangerous region.
Mahlab underlined that the government saves no efforts to remove the risky shanty towns and transfer its residents to safe housing units.
