Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon Mohamed Badr el Dein on Thursday said that Egypt's vital role in the region emanates from its moral values and principles and work hard to maintain stability of Arab countries.
Delivering a lecture at Issam Fares Center for Lebanon, the diplomat highlighted importance of changing the religious discourse to keep Arab states united and away from extremism.
The diplomat admitted retreat of the Egyptian role in the region during the past years, saying, "Egypt has one option to reactivate its key role."
Cairo took steps on way to retain its regional role through refreshing its economy after four years of instability, he noted.
