
An emergency of the Arab League Council at the level of permanent representatives kick-started here on Monday, with the focus being on Palestine, Syria and Libya. Addressing the meeting, Secretary-General of the Arab League Nabil Al-Araby said today's meeting came upon his personal request to follow up on recommendations issued during the recent Arab Summit in Kuwait. The conferees will mainly discuss suggestions to revamp the Arab League and support the activities of working teams which will be presented to a meeting of Arab foreign ministers in September, he said. The agenda of the meeting also includes the latest developments of Palestine, Syria and Libya, Al-Araby added. The meeting is expected to come up with a statement on the current situation of the three Arab countries
