The Emirates Red Crescent has rushed emergency relief aid to a number of families who were displaced from Brom Mayfa, a district in the Yemeni south-eastern province of Hadramaut, to the border village of Rabab, where they suffered a lack of shelter, food and basic services.
In response to an urgent appeal from the displaced, the humanitarian agency rushed shelters, tents, winter clothing, medicines and food supplies to the area to help them through this crisis.
The head of Brom Mayfa's local administration Salah Abdullah Al Bas, who accompanied the Emirates Red Crescent's aid convoy, described the intervention as timely because of the tragic situation of the displaced.
A number of locals thanked the Emirates Red Crescent for the humanitarian gesture and noted it will ease the suffering of the affected families.
