
Minister of Awqaf (Religious Endowments) Mohammad Abdul-Sattar al-Sayyed discussed with Members of the Presidential Council in Republic of Bashkortostan means of cooperation for confronting terrorism and extremism, which have spread in Syria and Iraq.
During a meeting in the Republic’s capital of Ufa, the Minister highlighted the resilience of the Syrian people and their rallying behind their army and leadership to repel the internationally-led terrorist war raging in the country since 2011.
Al-Sayyed pointed out that Syria, by confronting the Takfiri terrorism and extremism on its land, is warding off the danger of these phenomena, which have become a threat to regional and international peace and stability.
For their part, members of the Presidential Council of Bashkortostan, which is a republic of the Russian Federation with a population of around two million, stressed the importance that peace- loving nations unify efforts to confront the phenomena of terrorism and extremism.
