The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has completed the work of maintaining and equipping a dormitory in the Governorate of Shabwa in Yemen, as part of 15 vital development projects being implemented as per the directives of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Honorary Chairwoman of the ERC, to improve healthcare, educational and sheltering services provided to those affected by the ongoing events in Yemen.
The ERC said, the project, the fifth in the series of Sheikha Fatima's initiatives in Yemen, will serve 200 students.
Beneficiary students thanked Sheikha Fatima for the initiative, which they said, would improve their learning environment and attainment and support their academic stability. They affirmed that the project had put an end to their suffering as most of them come from outside the governorate and face challenging situations to reach the school, especially during these dangerous circumstances. They also credited the ERC for implementing the project in a record time.
