
Ethiopia's Foreign Ministry has held a farewell ceremony for outgoing Egyptian Ambassador in Addis Ababa Mohamed Edris, the media office of the Egyptian embassy here said in a statement.
During the ceremony, Ethiopian Foreign Affairs Minister Tedros Adhanom thanked Edris for his distinguished efforts to enhance bilateral ties binding both countries in various fields.
Also, the Ethiopian popular diplomatic delegation under the Speaker of Parliament held another ceremony for the Egyptian diplomat.
The speaker voiced appreciation for Edris for building constructive and fruitful relations with the Ethiopian people.
He voiced hope that relations between Cairo and Addis Ababa could be developed during the coming period based on mutual confidence and cooperation.
For his part, Edris expressed his pleasure for his success in consolidating ties between both countries and their peoples.
