Resuming talks after two weeks from the six-party meeting on the Ethiopian dam means Ethiopia's commitment to the declaration of principles signed last March by Ethiopia, Egypt and Sudan, Ethiopian Foreign Minister Tewodoros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on Sunday.
During the inauguration of the six-way meeting on the Ethiopian dam in Khartoum, Ghebreyesus said that the agreement connects Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia with a historic partnership.
"The Egyptian, Ethiopian, Sudanese people are linked by Nile River which represents our shared destiny," he further said, adding that Addis Ababa is committed to fostering cooperation with Egypt and Sudan.
He also thanked Sudan and Egypt for their keenness to boost cooperation in Nile River and Renaissance Dam issues.
