Palestinian Ambassador to the European Union, Belgium and Luxembourg Abdel Rahim el Faraa said on Thursday that as many as 28 states of the EU agree to holding an international conference on peace process in the Middle East.
The diplomat made the remarks during a meeting with EU Deputy Secretary General for the External Action Service (EAS) Helga Schmid.
During the meeting, Faraa asserted that the Israeli occupation authority continues violations against the Palestinian people and disavows responsibility towards the peace process.
The ambassador renewed the Palestinian commitment to the two-state solution.
He described the conference as a proper step to put the issue on the right track once again.
