A former Libyan lawmaker praised on Thursday Egypt's role in support of the Libyan people.
Abdel Hafiz Ghoga, who now participates in the Algeria-hosted dialogue sessions between rival Libyan factions, said Egypt is hosting the largest number of displaced Libyans.
In statements to MENA correspondent in Algeria, Ghoga added that the first meeting for Libya's neighboring countries was held in Egypt in March 2014.
"Egypt is the main supporter for the political action in the Arab region," Ghoga said.
He added that the the two-day dialogue sessions touched on the formation of a Libyan national reconciliation government as soon as possible to reunite the Libyan people.
Ghoga underlined that the upcoming government should be independent as it will gain the support of the UN and international bodies.
