
A five-day meeting discussing the scenario of the "Exercise Eagle Resolve 2015" was wound up here on Thursday.
Commanders and officers from the various sectors of the Ministry of Defense, the Interior Ministry, the National Guard and the US Army took part.
The meeting included workshops on planning the exercise, which has a great importance for countering challenges, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense Directorate of Moral Guidance and Public Relations said in a statement.
Participants from the Ministry of Defense, the Interior Ministry and the National Guard expressed pride of working together to guarantee success for the huge regional exercise in which 30 countries will take part, according to the statement.
It stressed that "Exercise Eagle Resolve 2015" is among the biggest on the regional and international levels, aiming to enhance regional defence cooperation among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, and friendly countries.
The exercise, that will take place on stages in March 2015, aims at unifying visions on how to coordinate cooperation in fields like countering terrorism, border security and managing crisis and catastrophes. This will be the 13th version of the exercise. Bahrain hosted the first in 2000.
The exercise will be carried out on Kuwaiti territories, water and airspace, as well as the training fields of some GCC member states.
