Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab and Defense Minister Sedqi Sobhi Friday led the funeral of military and police troops who were killed in the terrorist attacks in North Sinai Thursday.
Participants condoled with families of the victims, who gave up their lives to defend their nation and its security and stability.
They stressed that Egypt will continue to fight terrorism and that such acts will only make troops more firm on carrying out the sacred duty of protecting Egypt's soil.
Attending the funeral were also Chief of Staff Mahmoud Hegazi, Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim and Sports Minister Khaled Abdel Aziz.
Representatives of Al Azhar and the Church were also present, as well as former mufti Dr Ali Gomaa.
