
The Ministry of Communications on Sunday warned visitors of Failaka Island to be cautious as a concrete buoy south of the island was damaged in a crash.
As soon as the accident was reported, the Ministry fixed warning lights in the area around buoy "M 31", which poses a threat especially at night, Ministry undersecretary Hameed El-Kattan said in a press release.
He added that the Ministry will take all the necessary measures regarding the idle buoy for the safety of vacationers and navigation in the region.
He urged vessels sailing south of Failaka to be cautious till repairs of the buoy are done.
