Prevailing calm at the Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon is a proof of the success of Palestinian-Lebanese coordination at all levels to prevent exploiting the camps to destabilize the country and undermine its peace, a member of the Fatah movement said on Friday.
In press statements following his meeting with Lebanese Interior Minister Nouhad Al Mashnouq, Azzam Al Ahmad said "we briefed the minister on the situation in Palestine in light of a popular uprising against the Israeli occupation and settlers to defend Al Aqsa Mosque and Islamic and Christian holy sites."
The meeting also took up the latest developments in the region and coordination and consultation between Palestinian and Lebanese leaders to serve Arab stability and foil any attempt to fuel tensions and conflicts in the Arab world, Al Ahmad added.
