Spokesman for Fatah movemrnt Ahmed Assaf has praised a role played by Egypt to reach a ceasefire between the Palestinians and Israel.
"Egypt is not a broker, but a key party, and always stands by the Palestinians," Assaf added in an interview with MENA correspondent here on Wednesday.
“Without Egypt efforts, we could not stop the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip,” Assaf said.
The Palestinian leadership is keen on the Egyptian role, which seeks the best interests of the Palestinian people.

“The success of the conference is considered a success for Egypt and the Palestinians as well," he added.
