Fatah ٍٍSpokesman Ahmed Assaf has warned of targeting Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas after an attack by the Israeli government against Abbas following the latter's speech before the UN General Assembly.
"Israel has crossed all red lines," Assaf told Palestinian Radio on Tuesday.
"We will not remain silent to this attack by such terrorist and crazy government, which has committed war crimes, crimes against humanity and even genocide against the Palestinian people," he said.
He praised a speech delivered by Abbas before the UN General Assembly.
He noted that Abbas' speech "expressed the legitimate rights and aspirations of the Palestinian people."
"We are embarking on an important political stage and a great political battle during the next period," he noted.
He called on the Palestinian people to actively close their ranks behind Abbas, urging Arab and world countries to support the Palestinian cause.
