February 28 events proved awareness of Egyptian people

Secretary General of Azhar Islamic Research Complex Dr. Mohie El-Din Afifi asserted that Egypt will remain safe and protected thanks to the great efforts exerted by the armed forces and police.
In a statement released on Saturday, Dr Afifi said February 28 events proved the awareness of the Egyptian people and their collaboration with their wise leadership, their armed forces and police.
He said Egyptians have answered the calls of Azhar for not responding to the extremist thoughts and not being dragged behind the elements which manipulate religion.
He also said many necessary arrangements have been made by Azhar Grand Imam Dr Ahmed El-Tayyeb of interacting with all categories of the Egyptian society in order to correct the wrong images about Islam and reject any calls for manipulation using religion for political purposes.
