The Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced that a fire erupted at an exploratory well, affiliated to the Arabian Gulf Oil Company (Agoco), nearly 30 km away from Libya's Darg city.
In a statement on Tuesday, the corporation said that it coordinated with Agoco and Mellitah Oil & Gas company and took all necessary measures to put out the fire.
Experts and fire fighters at the two companies managed to extinguish the fire, the statement added.
