Fire in vessel in Port Tawfik contained

A fire that erupted in a goods vessel in Port Tawfik in Suez was contained on Friday, said media spokesman for the Red Sea Ports Authority Abdel Rehim Mostafa.
The vessel's crew -- six Egyptians and seven foreigners -- was rescued.
The Suez Canal Authority and Navy in Suez Gulf contributed to putting out the fire, Mostafa said.
He asserted that the fire did not affect navigation in the port of the canal.
A probe into the incident was launched.
