
Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said on Saturday that he conveyed to Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika a message from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi who expressed his greetings and appreciations for Bouteflika.
In statements to MENA after a meeting with the Algerian president, Shoukry added that the message also showed Sisi’s keenness on fostering bilateral relations.
The Algerian president directed his officials to intensify joint efforts to boost mutual ties.
During the meeting, Shoukry listened to Bouteflika’s vision concerning the latest developments in the region, especially in Libya, Syria, Iraq and Yemen.
Meanwhile, Egypt’s top diplomat described his meeting with Algerian officials as fruitful, positive and reassuring.
