Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will attend a meeting in Rome for the international alliance against Daesh on February 2.
Egypt succeeded within the framework of the work group on strategic contacts with the alliance to form and spread anti-Daesh messages, Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid said in a tweet on Twitter.
Abu Zeid, who is currently among Egypt’s delegation to the African summit, said that Daesh did not succeed strategically in Syria and Iraq.
He also said that the local partners succeeded with the support of the alliance to remove Daesh from 40% of the lands it controlled in Iraq and 10% of the lands in Syria.
