
Dr. Hanif Hassan Al Qassim, Chairman of the Geneva Centre for Human Rights Advancement and Global Dialogue, has said that UAE Food Bank initiative characterises the humanitarian approach of Year of Giving launched by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
He said that the UAE Food Bank, launched by Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, reflects exceptional thinking and the far-sighted vision of the UAE's wise leadership to provide humanitarian aid around the world.
He also praised the choosing of Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, wife of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, as Chair of the Board of Trustees of the UAE Food Bank, saying that she pays high attention to the humanitarian approach and her love for charity has contributed to increasing the pioneer image of the UAE in this field, both locally and globally.
Al Qassim added that the UAE Food Bank is a quantum leap in humanitarian assistance, demonstrating ways to meet the needs of vulnerable people and support the culture of solidarity and tolerance among societies.
